NYSE U.S 100 Index:

Comprised of the 100 companies with the largest total market capitalization listed on the NYSE. It also accounts for 40% of the market capitalization of all companies on the NYSE.

NYSE International 100 Index:

Composed of the 100 non-U.S. companies with the highest total market capitalization on the NYSE. This index is designed to track international markets and guide investor research.

NYSE TMT Index:

Comprised of the 100 largest companies in the Technology, Media and Communications sector.

NYSE World Leaders Index:

A combination of the NYSE US100 and NYSE International 100 index. It reflects the performance of the 200 largest companies.

NYSE Composite Index:

The NYSE Composite Index was created in 1966 to measure the performance of all stocks on the NYSE in general. The NYSE Composite Index consists of 2044 American and non-American stocks.


NYSE Sector Indices:

The new sector indices are the NYSE Energy Index, symbolized as NYE ID, the NYSE Financial Index, NYK.ID, and the NYSE Healthcare Index, NYP.ID. All these three sector indices are subsets of the NYSE Composite index. NYSE sector indices are classified according to the Dow Jones Global Classification system.

As with the consumer price index, the NYSE indices are Laspeyres indices. The Laspeyres index measures constant weighted price changes in each period. NYSE indices are calculated using the last prices for each company in the index for as long as the NYSE is open. Index values are updated after the opening of the NYSE following the previous day’s close. This process starts with the first price for any constituent in the index.

In order to create investment grade securities, listed stocks are included in the index based on their share class and liquidity.
